The Mediobanca Research Area has presented the new version of its survey on large-scale distribution, Italian and international, with a focus on the food industry. The survey combines the earnings and financial data of 116 Italian firms, plus 30 of the leading international operators for the 2016-20 period. For Italy alone, coverage is estimated at 96% of the market. The report includes a focus on the large-scale distribution industry’s sustainability, both in Italy and elsewhere.
